Downstairs Red Café is warm and friendly just the sort of place to chat with friends over a fair trade cuppa.

Our main room is laid out in café style - tables, chairs and settees. Most of our furniture is made of recycled materials. The tables began life as washing machine drums whilst the settees were once scaffolding poles and railway sleepers! Pride of place is our bar built by Res-a-Rec, a local re-settlement and recycling project. It’s made entirely of reclaimed wood and glass. The work surface is made of used (and washed!) vending machine cups. A well stocked bar, an in-house sound system and a video projector all help to make Red Café a great venue.

Recording Studio

A hidden gem tucked away inside Red Café the Studio is just the place for budding engineers, singers, musicians and creative sparks!

Originally set up with a generous grant from The Performing Rights Society Foundation the studio has enabled lots of young people to create and record some fantastic original music. Whether it’s hip hop or heavy metal, rap or rock the Studio is the place to get that special tune laid down. A much appreciated addition to the Studio has been the video editing equipment so there are now opportunities for would be film directors too!

Gym

If fitness is your thing then The Red Café Gym is the place for you.

With a few wonderful volunteers who are trained fitness instructors we are able to offer regular sessions. A rowing machine, a syncro-excite, cycles, and weights are available. This is a gym experience to be enjoyed by everyone!

We are well equipped with computers. On –line and free to use for all our customers.
